    Extra work does NOT help build your resume. Industry pros DONT care about that. Commercials don’t even help theatrical booking that much. And commercials are only listed to prevent things such as the same prsn doing a commercial for competing compenies (ex. 2 car companies)

    i want to be an actor…but to be honest, i can’t be bothered with the training. there are some amazing young actors out there without and ounce of training! and I should be finished my studies by the time im 19…and im 14 now. so yay! im staying an extra year at high school, doing a year at college and then hopefully get into a good university or acting school who can then put me in touch with agents and then yay

    She’s right, it is worth working a few jobs as an extra for experience. It’s not about how much money you’ve earned!

    It’s good if they’ve seen that you’ve experienced working on a film or TV set, and in the UK you can join Equity if you’re working as a background artiste professionally.

    If you had a small role, it would depend on the role but the amount is usually very low or nothing.

    you get paid minimum wage to be an extra. My friend and i have the same agent and when he was put as an extra on One Tree Hill, he only made $6.50 an hour. But he worked on the set for 10 hours. sooooo… you do the math.
